Draisinenfahren. Die Draisine ist nicht eigentlich das Fahrrad, sondern eher der Sitz-Roller der Romantik. Die Draisine (nach ihrem Erfinder Karl von Drais, der sie 1817 in Mannheim zuerst konstruierte), ist das alte Holzrad ohne Tretkurbeln. Der Fahrende sass auf einem sattelahnlichen Sitz und bewegte sich vorwarts, indem er abwechselnd zwei mit den Radern verbundene Bretter trat. Translation: Handcar Driving. The draisine is not really the bicycle, but rather the romantic seated scooter. The draisine (named after its inventor Karl von Drais, who first constructed it in Mannheim in 1817) is the old wooden wheel without cranks. The rider sat on a saddle-like seat and moved forward by alternately kicking two planks connected to the wheels.
