Tanz Unter Der Dorflinde. Zu den landlichen Freuden gehorte der heute leider kaum mehr gebrauchliche Tanz unter der Linde. Ein Tisch oder uber Fasser gelegte Bretter dienten als Podium. Die Dorfmusik spielte auf, und Burschen und Madel drehten sich im Tanz, der, in den deutschen Landschaften verschieden, das Temperament des Stammescharakters deutlich verriet. Translation: Dance under the Village Linden Tree. One of the rural joys was the dance under the linden tree, which unfortunately is hardly used anymore today. A table or planks laid over barrels served as a podium. The village music played, and boys and girls twirled in the dance, which, different in the German landscape, clearly betrayed the temperament of the tribal character.
