Britain's Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co Plc (P&O) and others will invest $887 million in Qianwan, under a pact inked during British Prime Minister Tony Blair's visit to China in July. Qingdao houses China's largest crude oil terminal with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes, and the largest ore terminal with a similar capacity.
