ATHLETE'S HANDS ARE FASTENED TO A SWING IN YINCHUAN, 2003-09-07 (photo)

Athlete's hands are fastened to a swing as they compete in a traditional "swing" sports event at the 7th National Ethnic Sports Meeting in Yinchuan, capital city of China's autonomous Ningxia region September 7, 2003. The "swing" sport involves two female athletes aiming to hit or touch a bar with bells as they sway from an 11 metre (36 feet) high swing. The pair that touches the bell the most in ten minutes wins.
