Notebook of detailed sketch maps, with measurements, made in the preparation of Ordnance Surveyors' Drawings (OSDs), fair drawings for first published series of OS maps. Covers parts of OSDs 59, 61 and 169 (parts Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire). Believed to be only surviving notebook of this type. Produced from Tuesday 11th August 1812 to Tuesday 23rd March 1813; most pages marked with individual dates.
