Image description: An ebony casket surmounted by a silver Rolls Royce armoured car presented, in gratitude to the Duke of Westminster in 1919 by the survivors of H.M.S. Tara, sunk off the North African coast on the 5th November 1915, the survivors were towed ashore by the U-boat and handed over to the Senussi who took them some 150 miles into the desert. They were saved by a rescue column led by the Duke on the 17th March 1916.
