British (English) School. Oil painting on canvas, Anne Talbot, Lady Ivory (1665-1720), British (English) School, circa 1720-1730. A painted oval half-length portrait of the daughter of Sir John Talbot (1630 – 1714) and his second wife, Barbara Slingbsy, turned slightly to the right, her head turned slightly to the left, wearing a loose blue dress. She was the wife of Sir John Ivory (1655 – 1695) and their son, John Ivory Talbot inherited the house and estate directly from his grandfather, Sir John Talbot, and their daughter, Barbara, married Henry Davenport (1677 – 1731). cf. the inscribed portrait of Anne Ivory (no.68).
