American actress Elizabeth Taylor, who is rarely seen in public, is helped out by bodyguards as she walks down from the stage in Istanbul's Beyberbeyi palace July 28, where she called on the world to help the Chechen children suffering from war. Taylor arrived in Istanbul to attend the ball organized by Shapari Kashougi, wife of Adnan Kashougi, in aid of Chechen children. Taylor said " as we stand together in the historic city of Istanbul, the symbolic meeting point of the east and the west, we are shining the first bright light on the sad plight of the impoverished children of Chechnya.\
