The priest joins the two hands of Joseph and Mary, celebrating their marriage in front of the central apse of the temple; to the right are the servant of the temple and three women of the cortege of Mary, while the left side is taken up by a group of men, the other suitors, attending outside of the church; one of them breaks his stick, that saw him rejected by not blooming, while on the flowering staff of Joseph perches the dove of the Holy Spirit; a saint seen frontally is depicted within the decorative frame on the right.
