Detail. A segment of the decorative band running along the barrel vault of the ceiling, at its junction with the end wall of the chapel; at the edge of lapis lazuli blue of heavenly firmament, a series of lozenge and poly-lobed frames with floral decoration unfolds continuously, hosting busts of saints and allegorical figures; on top one sees an old saint, severe and bearded, holding a baby and handling a metal instrument, at the center is a man wearing a mantle, while below is a second old saint in the act of blessing.
