Two Finish KFOR soldiers take a break outside sauna in their base in Kosovo town of Lipljan on August 27, 2000. After a hard days peacekeeping in Kosovo's sweltering summer heat, there's nothing your average Finnish soldiers like better than to head inside, takes off all his clothes and enjoy even more sweltering heat. For the Finns, the sauna is a way of life and an important part of any military camp -- even in Kosovo, where summer temperatures rise above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit), a level most northern Europeans find more than hot enough already. Not the fearless Finns, however. They have built around 20 saunas at their bases here for their 800 soldiers.
