It was on May 22, 1896, that the City Council of Dolus-le-Sec, a charming little village north-east of Loches, decided to install, on a plot of land donated by the mayor, Louis Martin, a Bollée wind turbine to supply water to the town. This 15 m high wind turbine with a 2.50 m wind turbine, model no. 1 of the firm, pumped water to a depth of 12 m using a three-body pump, which has the particularity of being submerged. The Bollée wind turbine is a type of wind turbine invented by Ernest-Sylvain Bollée (1814-1891), which was used to pump water (a wind pump). It was produced in France from 1872 to 1933, in about 350 copies.
