Father John McGrath of the Blessed John Duns Scotus church, in the Gorbals district of Glasgow, lights a candle beside a brass-bound casket, said to hold the remains of Saint Valentine February 12. The remains in the casket are currently being disputed by churches in Dublin and Rome, who also claim to be the final resting place of the saint, most commonly linked with February 14 or the day for sweethearts to declare their devotion to each other. The casket will be displayed in a glass panel in the atrium of a new pastoral centre at the church from Sunday Februray 14.
