Switzerland Television, 1951 White Background (b/w photo)

Spyros Skouras, President of the 20th Century Fox, arranged fruit in a fruit basket on October 1, 1951 at a press conference for the American press at the Institute of Technical Physics at the ETH in Zurich. The fruit was used to make color comparisons with a modern color projection system. Scuuras acquires this innovative Swiss “Eidophor Television Major Project System”. The actress Annne-Marie Blanc acts as the first Swiss television star and holds the fruit basket.
