A replica of the historial Red Fort along with a hoarding of the prime ministerial candidate of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, Atal Behari Vajpayee, is erected on the roof of the party's campaign offiice in the walled city of old Delhi February 11. The BJP leaders are wooing voters to give them a chance to form the government so that they can unfurl the national flag on the Red Fort. Every year, the prime minister unfurls the national flag on the ramparts of the Red Fort on the country's independence day on August 15. Opinion polls predict that the BJP is likely to emerge as the single largest party in the general elections that begin on February 16, but may fall short of the majority required to form a government.
