Casio Computer employee Kyoko Kato displays the company's Wrist Camera WQV-10, a new wristwatch digital camera with a 78x80 dots colour liquid crystal display and a digital zoom lens, at its Tokyo headquarters November 2, 2001. The watch has a 25,000 pixel 1/14-inch colour CMOS sensor and records full-colour 176x144 pixel images compressed in the JPEG format. Users can send the images to a computer running the Windows operating system via infrared communication. Casio will begin selling the wrist camera in Japan on November 23, but did not disclose a estimated retail price.
