In a heavy snowfall, a military honour guard carries the coffin of the late U.S. Ambassador to France, Pamela Harriman, February 8 prior to a ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base, in the Washington suburb of Suitland. Harriman's body was returned from Paris after she died at the age of 76 following a brain hemmorage February 5. French President Jacques-Chirac presented Harriman France's highest award, the Grand Cross of the French Legion of Honour, and President-Clinton will give the eulogy February 12 prior to her burial February 13 at Arden House in New York State.
