ALTERNATIVE FUEL STATION OPENS IN SAN DIEGO, 2003-07-23 (photo)

Jim Friel drives a 'Think Neighbor' electric vehicle through a new 15 million dollar gas station and alternative new-car showroom and repair garage July 23, 2003. The project, called a Regional Transportation Center (RTC), recently opened in San Diego and is said by the owners to be the world's first depot offering all types of car fuel from regular gasoline to low-sulfur diesel, compressed natural gas, liquefied propane, ethanol and even electric stations for charging electric cars.
