WWII Nazi Radio Propagandist "Axis Sally" Escorted By Federal Agents Mildred Elizabeth Gillars, nicknamed "Axis Sally"was an American broadcaster employed by the Reichs-Rundfunk-Gesellschaft (RRG) German State Radio to broadcast propaganda for Nazi Germany (The Third Reich) during WWII. Axis Sally arrested for treason, is shown exiting plane in Washington D.C. in custody of Military Police August 21, 1948. Shows Axis Sally leaving Base Operations building in custody of Federal Agents and entering an un-marked automobile, leaving automobile and escorted into building. Judge Carl Hyatt and Secretary Kenneth C. Royall, Washington DC, 1948. Brazilian General Sosa Molina greeted by General Albert C. Wedemeyer at Union station. Visitors get into car and drive away. Brazilian Staff Officers in front of building.
