An elderly man cries in front of the obituary for four slain Macedonian policeman during the funeral of policemen Kire Kostadinov, 24, in the old cemetery in the town of Bitola, some 170 km south-west of the capital Skopje, April 30, 2001. Four Macedonian soldiers and four policeman were killed and six other were injured on Saturday after an attack by ethnic Albanian gunmen near the village of Vejce (some 10 km north of Tetovo) near the Kosovo border. This is the first shooting incident since Macedonian Security forces quelled a month-long revolt by ethnic Albanian fighters, driving them out from their strongholds in the hills of northern Macedonia in late March.
