Scores of Buddhist nuns wearing the distinctive garb of their different Buddhist orders fill the grandstands at a stadium in southern Taiwan's Kaohsiung city to hear the teachings of Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, March 23. The Tibetan Buddhist god-king spent his first full day in Taiwan with a dawn-to-dusk schedule of preaching, moving from Taiwan's oldest lamasery in Tainan to Kaohsiung's 50,000-seat municipal stadium.
