Bui Thi Luom, 44, a survivor of a 1969 attack by a U.S. navy squad led by former Senator Bob Kerrey speaks to reporters April 28, 2001, at the site of the incident in Vietnam's Mekong Delta hamlet of Thanh Phong, about 100km (62 miles) south of Ho Chi Minh city. Luom said she was the only survivor of a group of 16 women and children who had been hiding in a shelter at the time of the attack, which occurred when she was 12-years-old. Kerrey has ackowledged that the killing of civillians took place, but he said the squad was returning fire and did not know civillians had been killed until after the fighting. DB/CP
