CROATS PUT UP A CROSS IN MEMORY OF THEIR DEAD IN AHMICI, 2000-04-16 (photo)

Bosnian Croat youngsters hold the national flag after they unveiled a cross in Ahmici April 16 in memory of their soldiers and civilians killed during the country's conflict. Only a few hundred metres from the Croat ceremony, their Moslem neighbours marked the 7th anniversary of the massacre of Moslems in this central Bosnian village. Earlier this year, the U.N. tribunal for war crimes found a group of Bosnian Croats, including high ranking General Tihomir Blaskic, guility of crimes against humanity for the killings of 116 Moslems, including 33 women and children, in Ahmici in April 1993.
