In the middle of the scene, Dido abandoned, or maybe the personification of the city of Alexandria, is sitting on the throne, surrounded by three handmaidens; from the left, a dark-fleshed young lady, personification of Africa, grips in her hands a typical ivory coup, called rhyton; nearby, a second maidservant, maybe the personification of Europe, keeps the flabellum, the typical fan belonging to the Oriental royal personalities; on the right, wearing a leather and fangs of elephant on her head, is the lady representation of Asia; on the background, a ship gets away, maybe with Aenea onboard; from Casa di Meleagro, Atrium.
