Field Marshall Erwin Rommel Afrika Corps is forced to retreat as Allies tighten hold and General George S. Patton attacks. With the capture of Tunis and Bizerte, Rommel's entire Afrika Corp was either captured or killed with all of North Africa in Allied hands.
Field Marshall Erwin Rommel German Afrika Corps is pressed from the East by the British 8th Army under the command of General Montgomery and from the East by the Allied 1st Army. The Allied objective was the capture of Tunis and Bizerte ending the Nazi occupation of North Africa. With the capture of Tunis and Bizerte Rommel's entire Afrika was either captured or killed with all of North Africa in Allied hands.

Allied troops are rushed to the front in military trucks as Allied bombers bomb Nazi positions preparing for the final push to Tunis and Bizerte. General George Patton made commander of the 2nd Corp. Shows Allied tanks and infantry attacking German positions. Shows jeep with 50 Cal machine gun mounted racing across the desert, tank racing across desert through explosions, tank stops and fires. Scenes of the interior of tank and tank crew in action. More scenes of tanks traveling across desert battlefield.
The British 8th Army attacks the Mareth Line, a defensive system between Libya and Tunisia. Shows the Battle of The Mareth Line. Shows destroyed German tanks and dead soldiers. Shows the meeting of the soldiers of the 2nd Corp and the Tommies of the British 8th Army as the two Allied forces link up. Shows General Montgomery and General Eisenhower shaking hands on the battlefield.
Hill 609 lay between the Allied Army and Tunis. Hill 609 was captured by the American 34th Division. Shows soldiers walking single file along a dirt road. Allied troops enter Bizerte and seek out enemy soldiers amount the ruins. Shows large numbers of German and Italian prisoners of war, powäó»s walking with hands raised and entering wire enclosure.
