Havasta also had been four mouths in the American embassy in Prague. Then he was 11 years old he emigrated to America but in 1947 he returned to Prague to study there. In 1948 he was arrested by the police of spying then he was condemned for 10 years of prison. After his escape from the prison he had to hide many months till the long diplomatic discussions between Washington and Prague succeeded in getting the permission that Hvasta could leave Czechoslovakia by the legal way. Now Hvasta returned as a free man via Munich-Zurich-London to the United States
