Video description

A grocer from Munich (same amateur filmmaker as # 077, 149 and 151) filmed in colour during WW II - "A Day in the Kindergarten" with his son named Franz, about 4 years old. From morning to afternoon the German kids were trained. Walking barefoot was quite normal for them in 1943. On the way back home Franz passed a Wehrmacht barrack and estate with a sign: "No Trespassing". Franz entered the plot, picked up a soldier's belt and cap from the ground and walked home. Mother was angry and sent her daughter to take these items back to the soldier - who needs them to impress his girl friend after work. A colour 16 mm film made for Munich's amateur film club.
