The picture shows three young women from Italy who belong to the fascist Opera Nazionale Dopolavoro (OND). They are in the anteroom of the Haus der Deutschen Kunst (now Haus der Kunst) in Munich, where they are looking at architectural models showing the German Nazis' plans for more monumental buildings. The Italian women were able to vacation in Munich through the OND. The OND was the Italian Fascists' leisure and recreation organization and the mass Fascist organization with the largest membership.
