Many Thousands of Pounds Involved: The attempted betting coup at the Bath Races last Thursday i which it is believed the horses were” switched” and the telephone cable to the course out by an ~ x ~ acetylene burner half and haour before the first race, is believed to have been carried out by a gang of eight men, including the ringlet der operating through minor agents in the key provincial towns.
