Jul 08, 1954 - Exhibition Of Chinese Finger Painting: An exhibition of TSE-HUA (Chinese finger painting) by the Singapore artist, WU TSAI YEN, opens tomorrow at the Imperial Institute, South Kensington. So far as is known, this is the first exhibition and demonstration in this country, or indeed, of any western country, of a very ancient Chinese art of which today there are a few accomplish exponents. Mr. Wu is, in fact, probably the only artist in the world who paints exclusively by this method. He uses his right finger mainly, and his pictures, done on scrolls, are in the classical oriental style

Photo shows Wu Tsai Yen, seen at work painting with his finger - while his wife mixes colours - during today's preview of the exhibition
