' s to set up an inquiry into the Evans case, mentioned frequently during the Christie trial. Timothy John Evans was executed three years ago for the murder of his baby daughter, Geraldine. He was also charged with the murder of his 19-year old wife, Beryl, although this charge was not proceeded with. Then Christie said during his trial this week that he had strangled Mrs. Evans.
