The Mexican Supreme Court yesterday ruled unanimously that Zedillo must give Congress information on Mexico's controversial bank collapse bailout. The bailout which cost 20% of Mexico's GDP as is often accused of having rescued corrupt bankers at the taxpayers' expense followed Mexico's banking crisis during the 1994 peso crash. The Supreme Court's decision is the first ever to rule against a sitting president. AW/ME
