SOUTH KOREANS DISPLAY NORTH KOREAN CIGARETTE IN SEOUL, 2000-04-01 (photo)

Elderly South Koreans display a cigarette, processed and packed in North Korea in a joint business project between the arch rivals who are still technically at war, at a park in central Seoul April 1. South Korea began selling the Hanmaum (One Mind) cigarettes across the country on Saturday. The capitalist South supplied key production equipment to the communist North to produce the cigarettes. North Korea will receive an undisclosed amount of money for the production while South Korea will earmark part of the income from the sale for use in future South-North business cooperation projects.
