Paris attack (colour litho)

Paris bombing. The car on which Jacques Soustelle, Minister of Information, is traveling across the Piazza dell'Etoile, takes 1 'Avenue Friedland. The red light blocks it. Just then the driver sees a young Algerian man who, approaching the car, removes a revolver from the raincoat and points it at the Minister. - shout. Soustelle huddles in the back of the car. The terrorist shoots. Then it is on the run protected by the volleys of machine guns of the comrades. The driver jumps from the car, chases him and immobilizes him. The Algerian, meanwhile, killed a young man and wounded three people who had barred his pace. Soustelle reported minor facial abrasions. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 28 September 1958.
