A suicide braked (colour litho)

Image description: A suicide... curbed. Due to a sudden onset of madness, a man tried to throw himself from the window of his home in Bologna. But his family managed to grab him by the legs at the last moment and held him, despite his efforts to wriggle, until the firemen arrived. The poor fellow had gone mad in 1944 after being hit by a German car. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 7 September 1947.
