Image title: Rāvaṇa, on the right in his council chamber, resolves to go out to fight himself, but is beseeched not to go by his chief wife MandodarÄ«, who climbs onto his lap, and by his other women (this is not in the text). Rāvaṇa sets out nonetheless with his remaining generals and relatives, his army and his elephants. Seeing that huge mass of demons armed with every kind of weapon and composed of imperturbable soldiers and elephants as high as mountains, Rāma asks VibhÄ«á¹£aá¹‡a to tell him who the commanders are. VibhÄ«á¹£aá¹‡a points them out, one by one.
