Image description

A fine example of an aquatic stadium at Nagoya, Japan. Differing from most British examples in that a separate pool for diving is provided. Amphitheatre seating on a generous scale provides accommodation for the vast crowds which are interested in aquatic events in Japan. Illustration for a brochure on Open-Air Swimming Pools issued by the Cement and Concrete Association (1937 or earlier).
