Hafen Mit Tabakballen. Unter den Handelserzeugnissen aus Ubersee nahm seit dem 17 Jahrh neben Tee, Kaffee und Gewurzen der Tabak einen bedeutenden Rang ein. Von Virginien, Cuba, St Domingo u.a. Inseln wurde er in Europa eingefuhrt, angepflanzt erst spater, z.B. im Balkan. Der Transport geschah in Ballen und Fassern, die z.T. auch bestimmte Faktorei-Zeichen trugen. It was introduced into Europe from Virginia, Cuba, St Domingo and other islands, and was only planted later, e.g. in the Balkans.
