Oslo April 8, 1991. Viking Tires Production A/S Thousands of trade unions and others from Indre Østfold on Monday demonstrated in Oslo in protest against what is perceived as broadcast, from the government, in the Viking-Askim case. Parliamentary leader in the Labor Party Tom Thoresen receives a Viking tire from 66-year-old Ingrid Honstvedt, who has worked at the Viking tire for 50 years, fighting up to a closure of the Askim company. The Board of Directors decided on March 13, 1991, that production should be canceled before the turn of the year. The decision was made against the two votes of the employees.
