Chinese democracy activists Wang Dan (R) and Wuer Kaixi stand March 31 before a poster announcing their new Internet website, www.6-4.org, which aims to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the June 4 Tiananmen Square bloodshed, when Chinese troops fired on mass student protesters in Beijing. The exiled dissidents, who were student leaders during the Beijing protests, were in Taipei to launch a global petition campaign urging China's leaders to reverse their verdict that the protests were a "counter-revolutionary rebellion", to free all political prisoners and enforce human rights across China. Wuer Kaixi escaped China in 1989 has settled in Taiwan; Wang was paroled from a long prison term in 1998 and lives in New York. JKP/DL/JDP
