War of Resistance Against Japan. The Chinese Communist Party convened the 7th National Congress in Yenan in April 1945, on the eve of the victory of the anti-Japanese War. At the Party Congress, Chairman Mao Tse-tung delivered his political report 'On Coalition Government' which summed up the experiences of the struggle of the Chinese people. He outlined and laid down the concrete steps and program for the defeat of the Japanese agressors and the building of a new China. The congress was of decisive significance to defeating Japanese imperialism and winning victory of the revolution on a nation-wide scale.
