First air trip (manned flight) on November 21, 1783 - Jean-François Pilatre de Rozier and the Marquis d'Arlandes took off aboard a hot air balloon. They are the first men to escape Earth's gravity. They rise up to 960 meters above the Château de la Muette, to the west of Paris.
