A giant billboard size figure of a bull is silhouetted against the sky at sunset near Albacete, central Spain November 16, 2003. Since the 1950's the bulls, which were advertising billboards for the Osborne company promoting a brand of cognac, can be seen scattered around the Spanish countryside visible from kilometres away. The bulls were even allowed to remain without written advertising after legislation was passed in the late 1980's banning roadside advertising as consensus was that the bulls had become iconic symbols of the Spanish countryside.
