The Swiss conductor Paul Sacher (1906-1999) talking to the composer Wladimir Vogel during a concert break of the premiere of Vogel's oratorio “Thyl Class, Sohn des Kohlentraegers” on January 28, 1963. The piece, after the legend of Till Eulenspiegel, is being performed by the chamber orchestra of Basel, Switzerland, which was founded by Sacher in 1926. Sacher promoted music of the 20th century and founded the “Collegium MusicumZurich”, in 1933 the “Schola Cantorum Basiliensis” and in 1973 the “Paul Sacher-Fund”.
