Chinese saleswomen wait for customers at a shopping mall in Beijing June 9, 2003. China reported no new SARS case and one death from the disease in the 24 hours to 10 a.m. on June 8. The World Health Organisation (WHO) is suspicious of the dramatic drop in new cases in China's capital, where 183 people have died of the flu-like disease and 2,522 have been infected. WHO hoped to have an answer to the mystery next week, Dr. David Heymann, WHO's executive director for communicable diseases told a telephone news conference on June 6.
