The burning wreckage of a bi-motor tourist charter plane which crashed after take off from Chichen Itza's airfield lies in a corn field in southeastern Mexico September 12, 2001. The charter plane was carrying 16 American tourists from the Seattle, Washington area, one tour guide, and two Mexican crew members, all who perished.
