RECENT POLAROID PHOTOGRAPH - A polaroid photograph of Venezuelan-born urban guerrilla Carlos "the Jackal" taken recently in jail in Paris. Carlos, whose real name is Illich Ramirez Sanchez, sent the polariod to his father Altagracia Ramirez Navas who lives in San Cristobal in Venezuela's Andean mountains. The picture, which his father said was taken in his Paris prison cell, shows Carlos dressed as if preparing to attend a cocktail party as he poses in front of a rural scene painted on cloth. The handwritten note beneath the photograph reads: "To my old man, in spiritual communion, Illich.
