At the centre, Iphigenia is forcibly transported to the sacrificial altar by Ulysses and Diomedes; on the left Agamemnon, father of Iphigenia, completely veiled, covers his face with one hand to hide his pain, resting on a column on which is placed a statuette of Artemis with two deer on the sides; on the right, the priest who will officiate the condemnation holds the sacrificial instruments; above they emerge from the clouds on the right the goddess Artemis and on the left a nymph holding the deer that will then be sacrificed instead of the princess; coming from the House of the tragic Poet.
