Owl on a Baobab, Chobe National Park, Borswana (photo)

During the game safari is not uncommon to see raptors like owls on branches of baobabs near Camp Savute Elephant Camp by Orient Express in Botswna in Chobe National Park. Owls are well known for being very versatile in their habitat birds. They are able to live in a variety of places, and some of them can get to surprise you. The most common place to find owls are forest areas. They have a place marked as its own territory, and where they can hide during the day from predators and access to a lot of different food sources because of the other creatures that live in the forest. Some species of owls are able to live in the rainforests , they do very well with moisture and rain. They are able to find good places to live in and to protect themselves from their environment, but in most places these predators have to hide. Photographed in 2013
