According to the text of the book, 'the design is interesting on account of offering one of the most complete specimens of a man at arms fully equipped for battle, belonging to this period of history in existence'. He wears a helmet with moveable visor; a gorget of mail and a flowered cloth surcoat. His spurs, belt and the pummels of his sword and dagger are of plain silver.
